Backpack & Food Pantry Program

Logos.png

Hunger affects millions of children and families every day. Magnolia Junior Charity League is an advocate for ensuring children are able to be fed adequately by offering a program that allows schools to give food to the children that are in need. Through a discreet bag of food placed in their backpack. We have also implemented a pantry program in schools in Columbia County so the students are able to go in and pick out their favorite food items.

Hunger directly contributes to a child's ability to learn and grow. By providing this service, we hope to help combat hunger in the children in our community.

Every September, we ask our churches to help raise funds for this program so we are able to continue to provide this service and reach more children. If you are a church that would be interested in participating, please send us a message and we will get you added to our list.

If you are interested in donating to this, please click the donate button at the top of this page and select Backpack & Food Pantry Program in the drop-down box.

Magnolia Junior Charity League

We were founded 1946 by a group of community women who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children in our area. We continue that legacy today in each MJCL community project. For more than 75 years, we have been a premier service organization geared towards developing and spearheading new ways our projects and goals can make a difference. We will continue to strive to meet the needs of our members, community and the children in a purposeful and powerful way.
