Reading is Fundamental

RIF

Magnolia Junior Charity League is a proud proponent of Literacy and the Arts. We believe starting a love of books at a young age will help the children of Columbia County excel as students and adults.

Reading is fundamental (RIF) is a program where we are able to provide 2 books a year to public school children in grades K-6.

RIF believes every child deserves an opportunity to own books, learn how to read, and obtain the fundamental building blocks to achieve their highest potential. Literacy opens doors and enables every child the chance to live their own journey.

Magnolia Junior Charity League

We were founded 1946 by a group of community women who wanted to make a difference in the lives of children in our area. We continue that legacy today in each MJCL community project. For more than 75 years, we have been a premier service organization geared towards developing and spearheading new ways our projects and goals can make a difference. We will continue to strive to meet the needs of our members, community and the children in a purposeful and powerful way.
